In spiritual practice, the lighting of the Akhandjyot has profound significance. Literally speaking, it may be about lighting a lamp that burns for a long time, but symbolically speaking, it is akin to abolishing the darkness from within, in order to radiate in knowledge, purity and prosperity. The Akhand (Eternal) jyot (light) is lit when venerating the Devi (feminine consciousness) or as a mark of respect to your Guru (spiritual mentor) or simply in front of your favorite diety to invoke positive energy. Crafted from soft, pure cotton, each wick is meticulously handmade and double twisted, allowing for approximately 9 days of illumination. Just make sure you have enough oil or ghee in your Akhandjyot lamp for the necessary duration.
Every box contains 3 wicks each measuring about three feet in length. Each box comes in red or white variants.
